BoDan
and TahSai Beaches in Phang Nga Province
Secluded and almost unknown, these beach areas will host
the next generation of upscale villa estates north of
Phuket on the mainland. Raffles Resort will develop
part of this area with villas and a six-star resort.
Truly lovely, these beaches are
virtually deserted, but well worth the time to discover
them. A great day trip, they are an easy drive from
Phuket, Khao Lak, or the NaTai Beach area.
Both
areas are well-marked from the main highway between
Phuket and Thai Muang. The road to BoDan Beach becomes
sand about 200 meters before the beach - so it is best
park before the small bridge and walk the rest of the
way.
Even in high tourist season - you
will usually see no one on these beaches. That will
change in the next few years though, so go and see them
while they are yours alone. Make it a picnic!
Along the way to the beaches you
see coconut, palm oil, rubber, and pineapple
plantations.
One exclusive villa estate is in
process already, with very large land areas they will be
quite exclusive.
